Through our grantmaking, we strive to maintain a long-standing commitment to strengthen families and improve communities in which O’Neill family members live and are engaged in the work of the Foundation.
Responsive Grantmaking has traditionally been the Foundation’s largest grantmaking program. Through two competitive grantmaking cycles per year, nonprofits with family-centered programming are supported.
In 2017, we conducted a year-long review to identify opportunities for even greater impact. Informed by these learnings and our experiences, we will continue the Responsive Grantmaking program, albeit with a more defined focus on strengthening families in the areas of Health & Well-Being, Educational Success, and Homelessness. Within each grant focus area, support is available for Capacity Building, Program and General Operating grants.
Our Responsive Grantmaking program accepts unsolicited proposals and allows grantees to drive their program’s agenda.
Deep Impact Grantmaking
Our Deep Impact Grantmaking Program will present a unique opportunity for us to establish long-term, strategic partnerships with organizations that track 2Gen outcomes and support areas including: Educational Success and Health & Well-Being. We will develop the Deep Impact Grantmaking Program over the next 3 – 5 years.
Proposals will be considered by invitation only.
