Since 2018, our 2Gen Deep Impact Grantmaking has supported organizations that design programs and services around whole families—not just individuals.
The 2Gen or whole-family approach recognizes that the futures of children and parents are intertwined—when every family member is stable, healthy and supported, the entire family thrives.
Real transformation begins when families are heard and seen. Trust grows. Services work better. And families move from surviving to thriving.
Our whole-family strategy is guided by the interests of O’Neill family members who come together across generations, geographies and family branches to invest in opportunities that break cycles of generational poverty and open doors for families.
Building on what we’ve learned, we’re now focusing on a smaller circle of partners who lift up family voice, dignity and decision-making at every step of the 2Gen journey.
We don’t have open grant opportunities right now, as we are concentrating on deepening relationships with our current partners through fewer, higher-impact grants.
